So to recap: Lonjiku Kaijitsu ran a smuggling ring with the Sczarni and aided and abetted the goblin attack on the Swallowtail festival. Tsuto Kaijitsu orchestrated the goblin attack on the Swallowtail festival, kidnapped his sister, and killed his father. We saved the day at the Swallowtail festival, cleared the goblins out of the glassworks, captured Tsuto, saved Ameiko, and gave all of the stolen gold and silver dust back to Ameiko to help fund the rebuilding of her family’s lucrative glassworks operation.
Given all that, it only seemed fair to ask Ameiko for permission to raid Kaijitsu manor for stolen loot. Thankfully, she agreed – and boy were we ever happy she did. What a score! We left with a very tidy sum of gold and a whole bunch of other items items that while obviously valuable weren’t much use to us, so we headed straight over to Savah’s Armory to see what we could get for ’em.
Fiona and I upgraded our bucklers to Masterwork ones made of Darkwood, I upgraded my whip to a much nicer Masterwork one, and I bought a 60′ length of silk rope and a grappling crossbow bolt. We unloaded as much of the rest of the loot as we could but Savah didn’t have enough cash on hand to buy it all and she wasn’t sure that anyone else in town would either, so it looks like a trip to Magnimar is in our future.
There is one thing I kept. It’s called a Bone Knife. It’s a nasty little piece of work. Way too thin and frail to use for combat, but if used to finish off a helpless living foe then it can turn that enemy into a super nasty zombie under the command of the bearer of the knife. I honestly hope that I never to use it, but if the chips are down and this thing could help turn the tide of battle back to our favor then use it I will.
